Alumni Picnic 1999

Saturday, September 11, 1999, 12 Noon; Grover Cleveland Park, West Caldwell, NJ

It's time again for the annual end of summer picnic and Sig Series #1 -- Softball!

The official festivities will begin at noon, but anyone looking to brush up their softball skills a little beforehand can show up early.

It will take place at Grover Cleveland Park in West Caldwell, NJ. This is located off Runnymede Road. The ballfield is set back off of the road, through the woods, and up the hill.

The Alumni won in a rout last year so you've to think the Ugrads have to be looking for some payback.

Directions to Grover Cleveland Park (West Caldwell)

• From Newark, take I-280 WEST
• Exit at Laurel Ave (Exit 6B). After exiting, continue to the 4th street on the left -- Eagle Rock Ave.
• Turn left on Eagle Rock Ave.
• Go 1.1 miles and bear right at fork on to Harrison Ave.
• Make the next right on to Roseland Ave.
• Go .65 miles and turn left on to Borough Place (If you miss Borough Place, the next left is Runnymede Road).
• Make a left on to Runnymede Road and the park is 2 blocks up on your right.
• Park on Runnymede Road approximately 250 feet south of Brookside Ave., and look for the small footbridge across the stream, which will lead you approximately 500 feet (166 yards) to the picnic area.
• From the picnic area, a trail heads east parallel to Pine Brook (it's the only brook, and heads east-west), and leads approximately 700 feet (233 yards) to the softball field.
