The Sig Series is Alpha Rho's Alumni versus Undergrad athletic series. The tradition of annual year round events started in the 1980's, and has been an NJIT Chapter tradition ever since.
The season begins with softball, played during the annual end of summer BBQ, help in September. In October, it's on to the football field, as the autumn leaves begin to turn (and traditionally, mud covers the field!). Moving into the colder months, the series moves indoors, with basketball and bowling. By tradition, the team trailing in the Sig Series gets to choose the event of their choice for game five, although hockey is typical. Moving back into spring, we play another "open" event, usually bowling or another indoor sport. Finally, the series wraps up with game seven at the summer Meeting of Members -- volleyball at the shore.
